I installed 2 Venstar 1700s last night. One of them is sending a humidity level to the ISY and the other one isn’t. I thought it required an additional sensor to send humidity readings to the ISY.
So should neither of them be sending humidity readings or should they both be sending humidity readings?

BTW, one of them is connected to a heat pump only and the other is connected to a single stage AC and a single stage furnace.

Thanks!

I have a T1800 without the humidity sensor, yet HL shows a (phantom) humidity level. In HL, it can be hidden.

I have the 1700s with the insteon module inside the stat....not an external add on.

One thing I forgot to ask.
Is yours the T1700 with the external Insteon dongle or the newer internal Insteon adapter inside?

Ok...that makse sense. Thanks BLH! You've been very helpful to me as a newbie, lol

False Humidity readings are being reported over in the ISY forums. I believe Steve Lee from Smartlabs had posted some useful information there.

Unless things have changed.
No the T1700 can't take one.
The T1800 can take one but ships with none installed.
The T1900 ships with one installed.

But one of my stats is giving a humidity reading. Since installed (12 hours ago) it has varied between 85-87%. I thought they were all equiped with a sensor inside of them...if not, how am I getting this reading? HMMMMM, this is srange.

Thansk for your help!

Unless something has changed. The T1700 can not accept a Humidity Sensor.
In the ISY forums there is information on this.
Early ones needed a set of solder points shorted together to stop it. Later ones may have a header in them where a shorting plug can be installed.
