I'm also looking at getting a door intercom and this new Optex iVision looks pretty awesome - http://www.smarthome.com/76408/Optex-iVision-Wireless-2-Way-Video-Door-Intercom/p.aspx - has anyone purchased one of these? I've had some bad experiences with so called "wireless ranges".

All CCTV color cameras transmit in black and white under low light conditions. Or not at all!

Ya, it has some limitations regarding its range. Its range is only 300 feet and the sender and the receiving module has to be in line of sight. It has one more drawback that the video images turn to black and white in the night due to darkness..
