I installed my magnetic contact transmitter and attached the wires at the bottom, the transmitter is installed and works. When I separate the contacts in line the red light flashes but the alarm controller does not register it. I must place a magnetic contact near the transmitter to make it work, but then the contacts down the line don't work. and I have changed the switches to every possible configuration. I must be missing something.

The dip switches need to be set for your system: http://www.smarthome.com/manuals/73953.pdf

That is the correct transmitter. I wired it using a red and white wire. The red came out of the transmitter and was uncut until the last (of 3) contacts. The white wire came out of transmitter and cut at each contact so that it was connected going to contact and again leaving the contact until the last contact where it was just connected to the remaining contact screw.
Wired and switch it should work so that any of the contacts can trigger transmitter, correct?
I greatly appreciate your time!

You didn't mention the model of the wireless transmitter.
I did some searching and found a MCT-302 wireless contact transmitter.
If you are not using the magnet next to the transmitter. Try setting Dip Switch #1 to Off. That disables the sensing of the magnet next to the transmitter module.

Please provide more information?
What security transmitter are you using and what security system console?
Are the switches rated for normally open or normally closed security consoles?
