We offer 24/7 ordering at www.smarthome.com. To place your order via the phone or for product related questions or customer service please call us during these hours:
Mon-Fri: 8am - 9pm and Saturday 10am - 4pm, Eastern Standard Time

5. What is your return policy?
If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, simply return it within 30 days, and we'll replace it or refund the cost of the item (excluding shipping fees). All items must be returned in their original condition. Defective items returned within the manufacturer's warranty period (or within 12 months if there is no manufacturer warranty) will be replaced at no cost to you - we pay for defective item return shipping when replacing (not returning) a defective item. Products no longer part of our current product line will have to be returned to the original manufacturer for warranty replacement.
Please note these exceptions:
1. Clearance, Open Box, Special-Order and Direct-Ship items are not eligible for return unless defective and will receive merchandise credit.
2. All books are final sales, no returns.
3. Tools, software, and videotapes may only be returned if unopened within 30 days.
4. Credit card purchases will be refunded to the original purchaser's card. Purchases made with checks, cash, or money orders will be refunded by check. Please allow two weeks for processing. Smarthome is not responsible for returns lost or damaged in shipment.
5. Freight on international returns must be pre-paid.
6. Can I change my email address on my account?
Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to change your existing email address. If you have a new email address you will need to set-up a new account (upon doing this, your new account will not have any prior order information).
7. I sent my product back, when should I expect the credit to appear on my credit card statement?
We promise to process your return within 5 days of arrival back into our warehouse. Your credit should then appear on your next statement.
Please note:
At times, returns are received without the proper documentation (No RMA #, Damaged items, No identifying information). In those cases, we will contact you & process your return as quickly as possible.
8. I returned my purchase but I have not been notified you received my return or processed my refund?
We do not send notification for receipt of returned items or credit transactions, but rest assured we will process your return as quickly as possible. We suggest waiting 5 business days before you contact us about a return. Credits can take up to (2) credit card billing cycles to appear on your statement. |
