  • The EE Systems Group eFAR100 Electronic False Alarm Reduction Module is designed with state of the art technology to help reduce and prevent false alarms. This module is a low cost, rapidly installed, highly reliable, retrofit solution to the false alarm problem. Typical false alarm reduction rate exceeds 90%+ with patented DVC (Digital Verification Control) technology. Individual DVC output provides verified alarm status, which is designed to meet local law enforcement response requirements. Installation is easy with convenient color coded quick-snap-in harness, autoconfigure, and no jumpers or programming required.

It should be noted that the DVC technology is the only method that stops the false alarm at the source! All other methods (call verification, two way audio, video, etc.) require the false alarm signal (with the local siren sounding) to be transmitted to the monitoring station where further action is taken. DVC technology therefore greatly reduces the burden on the monitoring station!

    The Statistics:
    • Over 25 million active alarm systems in USA (estimated).
    • Average of 2.5 PIR motion detectors per system (over 50 Million PIR's in use today)
    • Typical PIR is based on low cost analog technology
    • PIR motion detectors are the major contributing cause of today's false alarms: average one false alarm per PIR per year

    • Number of zones: Four (4)
    • Zone response time: 500mS
    • Supply voltage: +10 to 15VDC
    • Operating current (no load): 20mA
    • Output pulse time (alarm): 5 seconds
    • Output pulse time (DV, DZ): 5 seconds
    • Over current limit: 50mA
    • Over current reset: Automatic
    • Dimensions (inches): 3.75" x 2.5" x 0.75"

    • Approvals: UL, FCC, CE, IC

This is a terrible product. Even with my vast knowledge of installing home security systems the instructions were hard to follow. Once i finally figured it out I tested it by walking in front of three motions. None of them ever triggered the alarm. I called the manufactures tech support line, first of all I could not get anyone that spoke proper english. After speaking to someone who claimed to be the engineer, I explained my problem and he said yeah its working . I had him walk me through wiring the device and after retesting the motions still didn't trigger the alarm. I called back and was told by the same guy yeah it's working. I disconnected the device and tested the motions and each one triggered the alarm. So i threw away the divice, better to throw away 25.00 than have my customer loose thousands. I will never use any of EE products.
