The Dakota Alert WRH-3000 Wireless Rubber Hose Alert 3000 is a very reliable and easy to install driveway alarm. The transmitter operates on one 9-volt battery (included) and has a 25' of 3/8" diameter Wireless Rubber Hose Driveway Sensor that will lie across the drive. When a vehicle drives over the hose, a signal will be sent to the WR-3000 Receiver for Wireless Motion Alert up to 600 feet away.
Wireless Rubber Hose Driveway Sensor
The Dakota Alert Wireless Rubber Hose Driveway Sensor Transmitter will send an instant alert from the foot of your driveway when a car enters your property. It won't be triggered by deer, large animals and other wildlife that would cause false signals with a motion detecting system. The Wireless Rubber Hose Driveway Sensor Transmitter includes a weatherproof probe that can be laid across the base of your driveway and sends a signal to the transmitter when a car is detected (drives over it). The weatherproof transmitter is connected to the hose. It operates on one 9-volt battery, sold separately, and is easily mounted on a tree or post near the driveway. The transmitter sends a radio frequency (RF) signal back to WR-3000 Receiver for Wireless Motion Alert, which can be placed in your home up to 600 feet away. The receiver will then put out an audible tone to alert you when the transmitter has been triggered.
WR-3000 Receiver for Wireless Motion Alert
The WR-3000 Receiver is the receiver for the WRH-3000 system. The WR-3000 Receiver plugs into a standard wall outlet and can be placed on a table or mounted on the wall. When the receiver gets a signal from the transmitter, one of four different tones (Classical, Westminster Chime, Ding Dong, or Whistle) will sound for a few seconds. There is also a volume control, allowing you to set the sound to the desired level.
The WR-3000 Receiver is equipped with four form "C" relays (one for each zone), and one 12-volt DC output terminal that will activate for several seconds when a signal is received. The receiver can be user-programmed, so the 12-volt DC terminal and one relay will activate for 10 minutes, if this is desired. The tones will still sound for several seconds.

I hose was wound so tight that it coils so no one wants to drive over it. So inherently the purpose is defeated.

well worth the money. There are no false alarms. The only problem I have is the hose wont lay flat.
