    More About Snap-in Products
Snap-in connectors are designed to work with Keystone, QuickPort, and Modular style wall plates. These wall plates typically have from one to six inputs (ports) for snap-in connectors. Installing a snap-in wall plate allows you to make wiring connections and runs inside your wall. You can use various snap-in connectors to customize your snap-in wall plate with telephones, networking, audio/video (AV) components, speakers, and other cable connections. Having a central connection point on the wall is a great way to add a professional finish to your installation and is a simple way to manage your in-wall wiring setup that provides quicker and easier terminations.

Works just fine with my IR receiver. As another reviewer noted, though, it doesn't seat properly in the Leviton faceplate, which means the jack pops loose when you try to plug something into it.

Purchased a pair of these for terminating Cat5 cable into faceplates in different rooms and connecting a Xantech infrared receiver on one end and a Xantech connecting block on the other.

    They work just fine.

One minor complaint: I inserted them into Leviton faceplates that I got at Home Depot. I had to shave a little off the backside of the opening in the faceplate using sandpaper to get them to fit right. Not a big deal, just took a minute, and it looks nice.
