- What's Included
Distribute high-definition component or composite video and digital or left and right audio over extended distances using inexpensive cat. 5 wire. The Cat. 5 Distribution Amplifier/Transmitter can deliver a single component video signal or three composite video signals along with digital or analog audio up to 300 feet in 1080i; if you use cat. 6 cable instead, the maximum distance is 500 feet. Each connected room will require a Cat. 5 Distribution Receiver (sold separately); the transmitter can support up to two rooms.
Expandable System Connects Additional Video SourcesThe Cat. 5 Distribution Amplifier/Transmitter features video and audio loop output to accommodate future expansion to additional cat. 5 transmitters and receivers. Additional features include a discrete passive IR channel for the use of external IR remote control systems.

Works great with extending 1080iHD to second room, a bonus is built-in IR distribution wiring, works well with Xantech IR kits (plug and play - no wire splicing needed).

Signal quality was extremely poor. This is unaceptable for an HD signal. Baluns are a much better alternative.
