Scare away raccoons, stray dogs, stray cats, opossums, skunks, chipmunks, deer, squirrels, gophers, moles, rabbits, voles, woodchucks, coyotes, and other unwanted wildlife.
The Critter Gitter uses a passive infrared sensor to detect the animal's body heat within a 40 foot detection range. This battery-powered device produces startling high-pitched sounds coupled with flashing lights to scare animals away. The sound pattern changes randomly so animals do not get used to it. You can also use the Critter Gitter to train pets to keep away from certain areas. Features include high and low volume settings. You'll enjoy wireless operation for up to a year with a single 9-volt alkaline battery (included).

Rating Did not work for Raccoons! Battery life very short and when the battery wears down, the unit just sounds off until you replace the batteries.

Rating Perfect! Only problem has been during leaf-fall - had to shut it off to stop repeated alarms! :-) FYI I found skunks were not impressed by the device, but they aren't easily scared off by much. I'm PLEASED to have my own CG, which is protecting my honeybee yard. Thanks. Delivered very swiftly, as well!

Rating We bought two of these and installed on our remote cabin in Alaska. Easy to install, the range is excellent, and noise ceases after movement ends. The shipping of the units was poor. Only UPS was offered to Alaska unless we paid $25. So we took the free shipping option to a friend in Oregon and he mailed the units to us for $9.80.

Rating Loud alarm so it's a good thing it's in an area away from homes. Appears to be keeping the deer away. So far, it was worth every cent. Just ensure no leaves or branches are in the way, as they can set it off when the wind blows. We had to set ours to bend down a little as cars were setting it off that went by 50-60' away on the road! Yes, there is only a little plastic bag to cover it from rain...however, that has not been an issue thus far. Overall, a really good product.

Rating just returned this item. it did not work for us at all. we tried placing it in different locations to scare away our vultures. none of the locations work, we were disappointed as this was recommended by the federal fish and wildlife game wardens....hopefully we can find something someday to help us with this problem.
