Replace any standard light switch in your home with the X10 Toggle Dimmer Switch for an affordable and easy way to add customized lighting to your home automation system. Use the paddle to turn the light on or off and brighten or dim the connected light to one of 32 brightness levels. An X10 address can be programmed in seconds, enabling the switch to send and receive X10 commands. Responds to on/off and bright/dim commands sent from any X10 controller. Or tap the toggle switch to remotely control X10 devices with the same X10 address. Beautiful, high-quality construction of the X10 Toggle Dimmer Switch offers the natural feel of high-end switches without the hefty price. Its sleek design responds to each touch with a crisp, tactile response, for the look and feel of a much more expensive switch. An amber LED indicates the current on/off status of the connected light and even doubles as a locator light when the light is off, making it easy to find the switch in the dark. The X10 Dimmer switch also stores a preset On-Level to customize your lighting to best fit your lifestyle needs. The On-Level is the brightness that the light will go to when you turn it on. Once it is programmed in, the light will automatically go to the set On-Level when the paddle is tapped. On-Levels allow you to create ambience and atmosphere. Set your dining lights to 50% to add a touch of romance to your meals. If you want the lights to turn on full bright, simply double-tap the toggle switch and bypass any On-Level to go to full brightness. X10 Toggle Dimmer Switch, also available in ivory, is designed to control incandescent loads, up to 600 Watts. Wallplates are sold separately. Slim Design
Similar dimmers are up to 50 percent deeper than X10 Toggle Dimmer Switch. With its slim design, installation is easy, even in small junction boxes.
Easy to Install and Set Up
This switch wires in like a standard wall switch with an additional connection to a neutral wire. To set the X10 address, press & hold the Set button until it beeps and then send the X10 address from any X10-compatible transmitter.
Create Multi-Way Circuits
The X10 Toggle Dimmer Switch allows you to customize your lighting setup no matter how your house is wired. It's simple to create a 3-, 4-, or 5-way circuit. Simply replace all of the existing switches you want to include in the circuit. Then, program the same X10 address to each switch. No traveler wires or additional programming is needed.
NOTE: For each X10 Toggle Dimmer Switch that is placed directly adjacent to another, you must subtract 50 Watts of capacity from each dimmer. If three dimmers are adjacent to one another, then 100 Watts must be subtracted from the capacity of the center dimmer.
Non-Volatile Memory
All X10 Toggle Dimmer Switch settings are stored in non-volatile memory and are not lost during power failures. Additionally, in the event of a power loss, X10 Toggle Dimmer Switch will return to its last brightness level when power is restored.
