Nickel-Metal-Hydride (Ni-MH) batteries have a considerably longer run time than conventional Nickel Cadmium batteries, and they don't have the charge memory problems associated with Ni-Cad batteries. In addition, Nickel-Metal-Hydride batteries are mercury-free and environmentally friendly.
These batteries are also available in AA. You can also purchase a kit of four AA NiMH batteries with a charger that also charges AAA NiMH batteries.
