Essential Info
The Vanco 280737 IR Receiver is a Keystone-Style snap-in infrared receiver for use with a home theater IR repeater system. This compact IR receiver easily snaps into a Keystone, QuickPort, or Modular style wall plate. The IR receiver takes in a signal from your remote control, passes it through to a connecting block and out to emitters - allowing you to remotely control your AV components behind cabinet doors or in a closet. You can also use the receiver to replace an existing receiver in your home theater IR repeater system.
The IR receiver hard wires to a connecting block with the use of 18 AWG 2 or 4 Conductor Low Voltage Wire, or Cat5e/Cat6 Cable.
Note: IR Connecting Block, IR Emitters and Wire sold separately.
More About Snap-in Products Snap-in connectors are designed to work with Keystone, QuickPort, and Modular style wall plates. These wall plates typically have from one to six inputs (ports) for snap-in connectors. Installing a snap-in wall plate allows you to make wiring connections and runs inside your wall. You can use various snap-in connectors to customize your snap-in wall plate with telephones, networking, audio/video (AV) components, speakers, and other cable connections. Having a central connection point on the wall is a great way to add a professional finish to your installation and is a simple way to manage your in-wall wiring setup that provides quicker and easier terminations.
