Your video device HDMI plugs into the wall plate transmitter unit, which is then connected to a wall plate receiver up to 100 feet away by a pair of CAT 5e/6 cables. The receiver then connects to your HDTV with an HDMI cable. Whether temporarily moving your television into another room or due to limitations with your home's setup, this device helps overcome the signal loss inherent to lengthy HDMI cable setups.
