Infinity's new Metal Matrix Diaphragm (MMD™) technology is used on the PS-8 powered subwoofers. MMD transducers deliver crystal clear, distortion-free low frequencies from today's dynamic digital sources, even at high listening levels. Unlike the paper, polypropylene or Kevlar® cones found in similarly priced speakers, MMD cones consist of a stiff aluminum core, anodized on both sides for increased strength and rigidity. The result is extremely fast, extremely accurate transducers, producing a distinctly cleaner, more realistic sound. A full complement of setup and adjustment controls and connection options allows for seamless integration with any system.
