Essential Info
The 911 Emergency Phone Base and Handset from Just In Case is a 1-button device that will directly connect the user to an emergency response operator when pushed. Part of what makes this emergency response system so unique is that it merely involves a one time purchase to provide immediate help in the event of a fall, accident, fire, home break-in or medical emergency. Many similar systems require monthly fees, activation fees and so on but with the Just In Case 911 Emergency Phone there are no monthly fees, no contract fees and no start-up fees. All it takes is connecting the base unit to a phone line and setting up the handset to provide you with the peace-of-mind that your loved ones will have quick, direct access to emergency help if ever needed. This 911 emergency system comes with 1 waterproof handset and 1 base which can support up to a total of 5 handsets should more than 1 be desired. The additional handset units can be Velcro mounted to various spots around the home to ensure that no matter where you or a loved one go there is one nearby. This makes it extremely handy for seniors as well as those who just simply live alone and wouldn't be able to yell for help in the event of an emergency. The handset is powered by 2 AAA batteries which are included with the purchase. Product Overview

Here's the typical scenario: a senior living by themselves, or simply left alone for a while, they fall and have no way of getting help. With this wireless handset a senior living on their own can keep it with them in a pocket or on a counter and should something happen to them they need only press the "911" button in the center. This will connect them directly to an emergency response operator to get them immediate help. This is a huge product feature because many other similar systems will first connect them to a call center operator to determine the issue and then alert an emergency operator wasting precious time in the process.
While most will probably immediately associate this type of product with simply being for seniors, and rightfully so, it is applicable to us all. The unit is waterproof making it ideal for use in a bathroom or even a shower. Last I checked people don't shower with their cell phones and EVERYONE is susceptible to slipping and falling in the shower regardless of age. If you seriously injure yourself and you live alone what do you do? With the 911 Emergency Handset mounted to a wall right next to the shower you can ensure that you'll always be able to get the help you need immediately. This is just one of a handful of freak accidents that can strike anyone or any age living on their own.
It is important to note that for the Just In Case 911 Emergency Phone System to work there must be a 911 emergency service in your community. The 911 Emergency Phone will only work in the United States.
How It Works
Step 1: Activate the handset by pressing and holding the "911" button in the center of the handset. Hold the button until feeling and hearing it click, at which point a dial tone should be heard shortly after.

Step 2: Once the dial tone is heard the call is in progress and the "911" button can be released.

Step 3: A dial tone followed by the sound of 3 digits (9-1-1) being pressed will be heard signaling the call has been dialed. The signal test LED light should be solid green at this point as well.

*If a busy signal is heard, release the 911 button and push it again. This will hang up the call. Try to place another emergency call by repeating steps 1-3.
