Extremely satisfied with these bulbs. Installed 3 in a fan light, and produce a fantastic effect in Great Room. Since the remote control to home entertainment system is not backlit, these bulbs in background produce enough light to see remote control buttons without having to have a brighter light turned on. From outside of home, the changing colors make it look like someone might be watching TV adding a security benefit throughout the night. In a clustered light arrangement, the manufacturer paid excellent attention to design detail by making each bulb start on the same color, and perfectly synchronized through the changing color patterns. While preferring to buy from Smarthome because of their excellent service and great products, I held-off this purchase until receiving a discount offer that then made these bulbs price competitive to other suppliers.

The best part is .. I have two put above the fireplace and they both change the color simultaneously.

It would be a good light to use when you wake up in the middle of the night and want to see while also being able keeping your eyes open. Their also good for reading lamps and also act as a good backup bulb on ceiling lights (if you have mutiple sockets) when the others go out. I'm going eventually put one in every unused ceiling light socket. The energy usage on these is very small as well. They turn on instantly and add a unique light to the room. They arent as bright as I'd like.
