Essential Info

For the first time, using high efficiency LED light bulbs doesn't mean forgoing light intensity. The C. Crane GeoBulb II Long Lasting LED Light Bulb not only uses less than 8 watts of energy when compared to the normal 60 watts that is used by a regular 60-watt incandescent light bulb, but it offers more light (446 Lumens). There are eight high quality/high brightness LEDs built-in. The GeoBulb also has an estimated lifespan of approximately 30,000 hours, which means it tough enough to last you for years and years to come. Compact fluorescent (CFL) bulbs use mercury and give off a humming sound, none of which is present with this LED. Additionally, the GeoBulb generates little to no heat and isn't susceptible to failure as a result of vibrations or repeated on/off switching. At the same size as conventional bulbs, you can be sure the GeoBulb will work anywhere in your home, even in colder temperatures. Take advantage of this technology and save money while using an energy efficient, environmentally friendly light bulb.

This product is also available in Warm White and Soft White, each sold separately.

These bulbs are ok, but not perfected yet. I purchased one about a year ago and it works as-advertized except for one area. The product description states: Compact fluorescent CFL bulbs use mercury and give off a humming sound, none of which is present with this LED. This is a bold-faced lie. The geo-bulb II emits a humming sound louder than *ANY* CFL. I contacted C.Crane after purchasing and they said some sound was normal but sent me a replacement in case mine was defective. The replacement bulb made just as much sound as the first one. The sound is not terribly loud, but forget about using it in a reading lamp. If you plan to use it in a ceiling height fixture and have high ceilings, you probably won't notice it. Mine works great as a front porch light, which I don't mind leaving on due to the energy savings.
