While the VersaCorder Tape Recorder (sold separately) creates high-quality recordings of up to four hours on a single tape side, even if you're not present to start the recording process, in certain situations the unit's internal microphone may not be strong enough or convenient enough for optimal use. The VersaCorder Microphone is ideal for those times when you want a microphone to be out of the audience's sight or where a traditional microphone might not be practical, such as group meetings, conferences, stage productions, choral ensembles, or concerts. This omnidirectional microphone picks up sound coming from all around it thanks to its hemispherical pick-up pattern.

Safe for indoor or outdoor use, the VersaCorder Microphone can record meetings and lectures or be used outdoors to record birds and other wildlife. Its hemispherical pickup pattern and high sensitivity let you easily pick up near or distant sound coming from all around the microphone, while the wire mesh windscreen reduces wind noise and breath pops.
The on/standby/off control on the included belt clip lets you conveniently turn the microphone on and off at any time; using the standby feature eliminates the audible "pop" sound commonly associated with turning off a microphone.
The microphone's sleek design and rugged constructions let you easily set it almost anywhere: on the floor, on a table or lectern. A stabilized rubber pad anchors the microphone for greater stability, while the 16-foot cable allows for freedom of movement.
