The latest in digital music is upon us with the REVO® BLIK FM and Wi-Fi Internet Radio, Black. While the FM reception from this radio unit is superb, the real value lies in the wireless Wi-Fi broadband connection that can be made to access over 11,000 Internet radio stations. The unit wirelessly communicates through your broadband network router for Internet access, letting you enjoy any type of music or talk radio you can think of without even turning on your computer. Select from an unprecedented choice of radio content from the net, listen to audio tracks stored on PCs or Apple Macs connected to the same local Wi-Fi network, plug your MP3 player directly into the M-Port or distribute the audio to your stereo system using the RCA outputs. You can also set your clock, alarm, user-definable snooze and a customizable sleep function. Everything is displayed on large backlit LCD screen on the front and easy to use control buttons are located on the top of the radio. This radio will give you every genre choice you can imagine and the option to play from your own stored audio; it has everything a music and radio enthusiast could ask for.
Hands-On Testing
Upon taking the product out of the package, I simply connected the power supply and plugged it in. In less than 2 minutes the radio found my router and less than a minute after that I was selecting from music genres. I then tested an iPod which was playing in seconds. Overall sound clarity was excellent. I think this would be a great product to add to any home stereo system for personal enjoyment and for entertaining.

Buffering
Strong interference from a neighbor's Wi-Fi signal, a microwave oven, electronics, or a cordless phone can sometimes distort the connection between your wireless router and the Wi-Fi radio causing a deficit of consistent signal. In this case the radio will need to buffer in order to catch up to the playable stream. Another less likely cause for buffering takes place when the Internet radio station is unreliable or has gaps in the audio stream. Make sure your Wi-Fi antenna or router is up off the ground and not obstructed by physical objects.
"N" Type Routers
The Wi-Fi Radio will not work with N type routers unless you change the broadcast mode on your router from the N setting to the B or G setting.
