Finally, there is a compact radio that delivers high quality reception, the CCRadio AM/FM/Shortwave Pocket Radio. AM reception is considered best in class for any radio this size and both FM and Shortwave reception are exceptional as well. Moving from band to band and searching for stations has been made easy with the combined use of a "Favorites" button and turning the tuning knob. A large lighted LCD screen displays all radio information as well as clock, alarm, snooze and sleep timer functions. Scroll through stations using the tuning knob or use a direct-key entry. There are 200 memory settings that are retained even when batteries go dead or you reset the radio. The package includes a convenient carrying case and ear bud headphones (if you don't want to play it outloud over the speaker), which allows you to enjoy music while on the road, camping, boating....or anywhere you go. This product requires the use of two AA batteries, sold separately, which will power the radio for up to 70 continuous hours. SW BandDifferent SW Bands work better at different times of the day, year and even solar cycle. The short-wave receiver-quality reception of AM radio stations is strong enough up to pick up reception up to 500 miles away.
