The projector utilizes three wide-panel polysilicon TFT active matrix LCDs — one each for green, blue and red output. The wide-panel LCDs have the same 16:9 aspect ratio as an HDTV picture, enabling their entire panel surfaces to be utilized to display widescreen HDTV images with maximum resolution, compared to conventional LCD panels that only utilize a portion of their panel surfaces when displaying widescreen images.
It also incorporates the same T-FORC II processor used in Toshiba's professional models, which utilizes sophisticated digital video interpolation and compression techniques to eliminate jagged edges and produce images of unprecedented smoothness and clarity, while re-sizing different display resolutions to fill the projection screen without the need for manual adjustment.
It accepts all NTSC and ATSC signals and displays them in true 720p HD for the ultimate home theater experience. For total flexibility and compatibility, the projector includes S-Video, composite video, analog RGB (Dsub 15+ DVI analog, Dsub 15 compatible to component Y, Pb, Pr) inputs plus a component video adapter cable for video sources with RCA component video output jacks, making it the perfect display device for DVD-Video players, satellite receivers and other home theater components.
