If you've been avoiding installing in-ceiling speakers because you want to be able to aim the sound toward a specific listening area, you'll appreciate the SpeakerCraft TIME Five Speakers. Mounted flush in the ceiling, this " Theater In Motion Experience" motorized speaker automatically drops down to a 15-, 30- or 45-degree angle and then rotates to aim toward any position in the room with the press of a button. The SpeakerCraft TIME Five Speaker is controlled remotely using the SpeakerCraft TIME Controller, a rack-mountable controller that also comes with a handheld IR remote. Use these remotes to set and access multiple preset positions and configurations for different listening scenarios. The speaker connects to the controller via cat. 5 cable. The SpeakerCraft TIME Controller and the SpeakerCraft TIME Five Speakers can also be purchased separately, but you'll save by buying this kit! Rack-Mounted Controller DetailsMount the SpeakerCraft TIME Controller in your equipment rack, and you'll be able to activate your in-ceiling speakers at the same time as your A/V components. The SpeakerCraft TIME Controller delivers your commands to your in-ceiling speakers, instructing each of these speakers to descend from the ceiling, rotate to a specific direction, and tilt to any preset angle. This controller delivers its commands to up to eight speakers via cat. 5 cable.
IR Remote Control IncludedThe SpeakerCraft TIME Controller fits in a single rack space and can send signals via IR or RS232. This controller comes with a handheld remote control for easy adjusting or one-button access to preset speaker aiming. The remote offers tilt angle presets of 0°, 15°, 30° and 45°; program three angle and rotation settings per speaker.
In-Ceiling Speaker Corresponds to Other SpeakerCraft SpeakersThe SpeakerCraft TIME Five Speaker is timbre-matched to all SpeakerCraft Five Series speakers, including the Aim8 Five speakers and Aim7 Five Speakers (sold separately).
Additional Speakers AvailableA SpeakerCraft TIME One Speaker and a SpeakerCraft TIME Three Speaker are also available. These descending, aimable in-ceiling speakers are timbre-matched to SpeakerCraft One series and SpeakerCraft Three series speakers, respectively.
