If you have a SpeakerCraft MZC-66 6-Zone, 6-Source Controller/Amplifier or SpeakerCraft MZC-88 8-Zone, 8-Source Controller/Amplifier/Receiver, each sold separately, set up in your home to deliver independently controlled whole-house audio to every room in your home, you can access your components easily through this portable keypad that provides a wide variety of information on a high-resolution color display. With all the same features as the wall-mounted SpeakerCraft MODE Keypad, you can view metadata such as song, artist, and playlist information as well program simple tasks or macros on your SpeakerCraft whole house audio system. The portable MODE Free Controller uses backlit buttons and virtual buttons along with a scroll wheel to make accessing your desired component or specific song easy and intuitive. This keypad is particularly handy if you have a connected iPod on your system or if you've stored your entire audio collection on the SpeakerCraft MODE Jukebox One or Four. Important note: A SpeakerCraft MODE Free Wall Dock or a SpeakerCraft MODE Free Table Dock, Black is required for charging, each sold separately. A SpeakerCraft MODE Coordinator is also required for wireless communication between a MODE Free Keypad and an MZC music system. SpeakerCraft products are to be sold to U.S. addresses only.

Previous MODE keypads have been limited by the need to be hard wired. Now you have the ability to take advantage of all the great MODE features with the MODE Free Portable Keypad Controller as you can carry throughout the house, it rests in your hand, sits on a table top dock, or simply remains in a wall docking station. The MODE Free Keypad provides a great deal of information, including song titles, album names, artists, play lists and genres, from the iPod, MODE Jukebox music server, AM/FM preset stations, and XM radio connected to your whole-house audio system. Simply scroll and click on the desired menu or command and the system instantly responds. Take complete control of your system from an easy chair, on the couch or lying in bed. When freed from the wall or coffee table all of the MODE's features are still available as well as the ability to control any zone in the house simply by selecting it.
Programming Software Makes Configuration a Snap
The SpeakerCraft MODE Keypad connects to the whole-house audio controller and can be programmed to perform multiple functions from a single button press. For example, pressing one button can turn on the system, select the MODE Jukebox, route the music to the media room, select your favorite song or album and adjust the volume to a preset level. Another command may turn on the CD player, select it as a source, put it in play MODE and send it to every room in the house. All of this can be done easily using SpeakerCraft's EZ-Tools Programming Software.
