What good does a whole-house audio system do if the only control switch is on the other side of the house? By combining maximum control with flexible ease of use, SpeakerCraft has designed a Multi-Zone Controller for six sources and six zones. Simply connect your DVD, CD, satellite, VCR or any other source of audio or video, and then control any of them with a touch of a keypad button from any of six different zones in your home. Get creative: control music sources, lighting, paging and video from within any zone. Six master keypads have built-in IR receivers to control your system, and they come with a number of different-colored faceplates to suit your décor.

This six-source, six-zone controller offers 12 channels of 30-watt digital amplification for efficiency in a reasonably sized rack mount chassis. Additional features of this Ethernet-capable system include telephone paging and doorbell mute. SpeakerCraft's 6-Source 6-Zone Controller/Amp w/Rack measures 5 1/4" x 17" x 14 1/2" and weighs 22 pounds.
A 500-foot spool of Monster standard 16-gauge, 4-conductor in-wall speaker cable is included with this kit. Monster uses very fine, high-purity copper strands twisted together in an interference-resistant pattern for maximum clarity. The high-frequency signals travel on the surface of conductors, resulting in the largest low-resistance surface area possible for these high-frequency signals. The result? A clean path for high-current bass signals. Interference-resistant winding is especially important for whole-house applications because of the long wire runs. A special low-friction outer jacket makes pulling the cable through walls easy. The cable is UL Class 3 rated for maximum protection.
The included 350MHz cat. 5e cable meets UL spec 1700 for use with high-speed Data and Audio/Video networks at 135MHz. The cable is ideal for running in "noisy" environments. Its maximum pulling tension of 40 pounds and a minimum bend radius of one-quarter inch. It consists of four pair unshielded twisted pair cable.
The 6-Source 6-Zone Controller/Amplifier with Rack Mount, Monster cable, and cat. 5e cable are also available to be purchased separately.
