Essential Info
The RDB-1.0 RJ45-To-DB9 Connector is specifically intended for connecting the RS232/RS485 jack of certain SpeakerCraft IP-addressable touch panels to the RS232 control ports of the SpeakerCraft 6-Source 6-Zone Controller/Amp or the EZ-Pad multi-zone controller component (both sold separately).

The RDB-1.0 RJ45-To-DB9 Connector actually adapts between the RJ45 plug on a cat. 5 cable and the DB9F connector on the DTP-6 SpeakerCraft Transfer cable that comes with the SpeakerCraft Learn/Test Module and EZ-Tools Software (sold separately).
Mounting the RDB-1.0 RJ45-To-DB9 Connector is possible if desired. Just peel off the protective adhesive cover and press it firmly to any flat surface.
