The IRC-3.0 Shelf-Top Plasma-Resistant IR Receiver was designed for rooms with plasma screens: Its ambient light restrictor reduces the IR interference generated by plasma screens. As part of the SmartPath repeating system, the IRC-3.0 Shelf-Top Plasma-Resistant IR Receiver requires a power supply, the AT-1.0 Amplified Terminator and IR Emitters (all sold separately).

The IRC-3.0 Shelf-Top Plasma-Resistant IR Receiver is designed to sit on a shelf, cabinet or any flat surface. It acts to push down IRI, CFL, EMI, or ESI noise sources so that stronger signals from IR remotes have adequate margin for command of the controlled component. It offers a 25-foot range at a 60-degree angle, and it works with remote control frequencies between 28 and 90 kHz.
This IR receiver has a 3.5mm quad plug for direct plug-in to SpeakerCraft terminators. It accommodates status as well as IR, Power and Gnd connections.
