Essential Info
SpeakerCraft's IRC-1.0 is a small IR Receiver encased in a threaded tube. It is designed to mount flush to a cabinet or wall surface with only a circular bezel exposed to the room. Snap-on Color Cap bezels are included in various colors, or the bezel can be painted to match your décor. This receiver features an exclusive Ambient Noise Suppression (ANS) system, which acts to push down IRI, CFL, EMI, or ESI noise sources so that stronger signals from IR remotes have adequate margin for command of the controlled component. Also includes two ALR (Ambient Light Resistor) bezels to reduce interference from daylight, plasma or LCD displays, and CFL lighting.

The IRC-1.1 IR Receiver is part of SpeakerCraft's easy-to-install/configure SmartPath system, which is made to send and transmit any infrared signal, designed to be your pathway to whole-house audio/video control. This infrared receiver reads signals from your remote control and carries the signals to the emitter, thus controlling any number of your infrared components, such as DVD, CD, VCR or receivers. Expanding your new or existing audio/video system is easy with this SmartPath system, which requires regulated power supply, terminator block, and emitters, all sold separately.
The SpeakerCraft IRC-1.1 IR Receiver's room-to-room wire recommendations are as follows: 4-conductor (min.) 24 gauge unshielded solid or stranded copper wire up to 1200', 22 gauge up to 2000', 20 gauge up to 3000' and 18 gauge up to 5300'.
