Essential Info
With the understanding that not all home theaters have the same room dimensions or setups, an incredible innovation was developed by SpeakerCraft that allow speakers to direct sound to a specific area while maintaining the professional look of an in-wall installation. The SpeakerCraft AIM Cinema One Pivoting In-Wall Home Theater Speaker actually allows the speakers to pivot into the correct position while keeping a clean, flush mount in-wall setup. The speaker features two 5 1/4" injection molded graphite pivoting sub-baffles for mid-bass and mid-range frequencies, and a liquid cooled pivoting silk dome tweeter for high frequencies. Below that are two high performance 6" Kevlar impregnated paper cone woofers on a separate stationary sub-baffle to increase output and extend the low frequencies. Fine tuning can also be achieved with the conveniently placed front-mounted bass switch. The adjustments allow for the creation of a custom audio solution by letting you direct sound patterns to converge properly for an immersive audio experience. These are ideal for front channel right and left placement to the sides of a wall mounted LCD or Plasma TV; or even for rear channel right and left placement For a matching center channel speaker, consider the AIM LCR One or an AIM LCR Three speaker. The AIM Cinema One speaker has independently directional drivers and liquid-cooled tweeters and offers outstanding bass response, beautifully balanced midrange, and exquisitely accurate high end notes up to 125 watts, all in a flush-mounted design flexible enough to allow you to focus sound wherever the layout or architecture of a room may require. SpeakerCraft products are sold to U.S. addresses only

Not a Center Channel Speaker AIM CINEMAS were not designed to be used as a dedicated center channel speakers.
Match Your Home Décor Your speaker and grill can be painted to match your interior design. If you do plan to paint, it is recommended that it be done prior to installation. Paint masks are provided in the carton and must be installed in place of the grill; keep in mind that while the grill can be painted, great care should be taken not to clog the holes, as this will greatly reduce the sound quality of the speaker.
Pivoting Inner Baffle Adjustment Your AIM CINEMA Series speakers inner baffle come from the factory in the straight fixed position. This will result in the overall smoothest response. However, depending on your particular primary area, room acoustics, ceiling height, or personal preference, you may find the sound more pleasing by pointing the inner baffle in a particular direction. If additional sound is desired in the primary listening area, pivot the inner baffle towards that area; and if less sound is required, pivot the inner baffle away. Using both hands, push the ridged triangle areas located at each corner of the baffle to point it in the desired direction.
Pivoting Tweeter Adjustment Your AIM CINEMA Series speakers come from the factory with the tweeter facing straight out from the baffle. This will result in the overall smoothest response. However, depending on your particular primary area, room acoustics, ceiling height, or personal preference, you may find the sound more pleasing by pointing the tweeters in a particular direction. If additional treble is desired in the primary listening area, point the tweeter towards that area; and if less treble is required, point the tweeter away. Push gently at the edge of the tweeter to point it in the desired direction.
Bass Adjustment The switch labeled BASS allows for 6dB of bass adjustment. Your speakers were shipped with the Bass switch in the "+" position, providing +3dB of bass and an impedance of 6 ohms. If you want less bass, slide the switch to the "-" position and the woofer will play -3dB of bass and increase the impedance to 8 ohms.
Adjustment Notes: Altering the impedance affects the number of speakers able to be driven by an amplifier. If multiple pairs of speakers are to be driven by one amplifier, SpeakerCraft suggests using the lowest output position (switch set to the "-" position) until it is determined that the amplifier will operate properly with the speakers switched to a higher output mode.
