Acoustic equalization delivers the rich sound your music deserves whether you're on the go with a CD or MP3 player or connected to a computer. TriPort headphone technology faithfully reproduces deep low notes not commonly found in conventional headphones.
You want to feel the impact of your music, not the impact of your headphones. Advanced ergonomics and lightweight design were used to create the around-ear headphones. Soft ear cushions gently fit around your ears for comfortable listening. An adjustable headband has several easy settings for your exact needs, and the earcups swivel for added convenience. Plus, patented on-ear headphone structure further minimizes headphone size for a total weight of only five ounces. That's lighter than many of today's most popular cell phones.
This around-ear headphone structure, along with Acoustic Equalization techniques, allow the headphone drivers to create deep bass while keeping the design small and lightweight. The result is a pair of headphones that delivers full, balanced bass from your music without the need for an artificial electronic bass boost. (It is recommended that any bass boost feature on the source unit be turned off to avoid distortion).
Identifying how the usual perception of sound changes when headphones are used, Bose developed Acoustic Equalization techniques. This proprietary Bose® technology fine-tunes the frequency response of the around-ear headphones to give you rich, impressive sound and deep bass.
These headphones can be used with a variety of sources, including portable CD/DVD/MP3 players, personal computers, laptop computers and home stereos. The 60" straight cord has a 1/8" mini plug which fits most portable sources. There is also a 5' extension cord included with the headphones. The supplied 1/4" stereo adapter can be used with most home audio systems.
The adjustable headband has several settings and can be lengthened up to 2-1/2 additional inches. The top 5" of the headband is surrounded with foam rubber padding. Each earcup has a soft vinyl cushion to provide an effective seal and maximum comfort. The earcups are marked L (left) and R (right) and swivel slightly on the headband to ensure proper fit and performance.
