While your front and rear speakers process action and effects, a center channel works with your surround sound receiver to produce dialog with rich, natural tones that seem to come directly from the screen. Each phrase can be lifelike and clear, so you won't miss a word. The Bose® VCS-30 Center/Surround Package comes with a center channel speaker as well as two side speakers. Add these to your stereo speakers for true surround sound.

The Bose VCS-30 Center/Surround Package is comprised of the Bose VCS-10 Center Channel speaker and two Bose 161™ surround speakers. Buying this kit will save you $60 over buying the components separately!
The VCS-10 center channel speaker is designed to complement your TV or entertainment center. Its patented Compound Loaded® drivers are engineered to optimize low-frequency output for rich, natural sound from a small enclosure in order to deliver clear, cinema-like dialogue. Bose's Articulated Array® speaker design "locks" dialogue on screen and provides a large, consistent sound field for a cinema-like experience regardless of where you are in the room. Rubber feet ensure stable positioning, and magnetic shielding prevents video screen discoloration.
Bose 161 speakers offer outstanding performance in a design that blends into your décor. Their Articulated Array speaker design reproduces sound over a large area. Bose Stereo Everywhere® speaker performance lets you hear rich stereo sound almost anywhere in the room, instead of one small "sweet spot" as with most conventional speakers. Using two proprietary Twiddler™ drivers in each enclosure, 161 speakers deliver the kind of performance you might expect from much larger speakers. And with their slim, elegant design, 161 speakers can be used as part of a stereo system or surround sound system. They even include customized brackets for easy installation.
If your receiver's center channel is not amplified, you must connect an amplifier to the receiver. Use an RCA cable to connect the center channel RCA-type output on the receiver to the RCA-type input on the amplifier. The speaker will then connect directly to the amplifier instead of to the receiver. A speaker cord is required and sold separately.
