Expand your Lifestyle® home entertainment system with a powered speaker designed specifically for this purpose. The Bose® RoomMate Powered Speaker w/Remote can extend the benefits of your Lifestyle 38 or Lifestyle 48 system (sold separately) to the bedroom, kitchen or wherever you'd love to listen. Using the included preprogrammed remote, you'll even be able to control your existing Lifestyle system without any additional setup. The Bose RoomMate also functions as a standalone speaker that can play audio from any external auxiliary source, such as a television or portable CD or MP3 player.

The Bose RoomMate Powered Speaker system comes with an advanced controller, the Personal® music center II. This interactive remote controls your existing Lifestyle media center as well as most commonly attached components. If you own a Lifestyle 38 or 48 system, it also gives you access to all the benefits of the uMusic™ system, which listens to your music and learns your preferences, then makes selections based on what you like and adapting to your preferences as they change. A backlit LCD screen on the remote provides a variety of system information, including title, track, artist and genre of any selection from your stored music. And this RF remote control works through walls and floors, so you'll have access to your Lifestyle system from almost anywhere around the house up to 80 feet away.
Using the supplied Bose link "B" cable, connect your RoomMate speaker to the media center to use the Lifestyle system remotely. This step is unnecessary if connecting the RoomMate speaker to an auxiliary source only. The Personal music center II remote activates the last used source at its previous volume level and preset. You can even use this remote to play a different source in the RoomMate room than what's playing on the Lifestyle system in the main room.
