The first thing you'll notice about the new Bose® 3·2·1 home entertainment system is what you don't notice: a room full of speakers. With just two visible speakers instead of five, and a single media center rather than a stack of complicated components, the 3·2·1 system redefines the definition of home theater. And with a lot less equipment there are a lot less wires, which means a lot more simplicity. Drop in a DVD and enjoy sound with most of the performance of five-speaker surround systems — from a system that's a lot easier to live with.

While most five-channel surround systems give you a lot of performance, they also give you a minimum of five speakers, plus a subwoofer. Then there's the surround receiver, a DVD player, maybe even some other components too. Plus you'll also have the task of running wires all over the room. To a lot of people, it's just too much. Too much equipment. Too much installation work. And too much money.

But rather than give you all that, the 3·2·1 system gives you some very exclusive technology instead. Now, five speakers are replaced with two. The bulky subwoofer is replaced by a patented Acoustimass® module that hides easily behind a chair or in a corner. In place of a stack of black boxes is one elegant media center with a built-in DVD/CD player and AM/FM tuner. And everything connects easily, with just three wires and a single power cord.

While we won't claim the 3·2·1 system is equal to that of fully wired five-speaker systems, you will be able to experience truly extraordinary performance with just two visible speakers. And with groundbreaking Bose proprietary Videostage® 5 decoding circuitry, you'll get that experience from practically any source — even mono TV programs. Altogether the system comes with two speakers, a hideaway Acoustimass module for pure, deep bass, a media center with a remote control, and all the cables you'll need to set it up the instant it arrives. The speakers each have two magnetically-shielded 6.4cm drivers and the module has one 13.3cm long-throw woofer. The media center plays DVDs, AM/FM radio stations, CDs, and MP3 files on CD, and comes with three audio inputs with both analog and digital coaxial jacks, and one optical digital audio input for greater setup flexibility.
