This system works with existing 5.1-channel surround sound receivers to bring spacious, lifelike performance to your favorite movies, TV programs, sporting events and stereo music.
The system's 5 single cube speakers deliver an astounding sense of realism without the bulky cabinets of conventional speakers. Compatible with surround sound receivers rated from 10 to 100 watts per channel, the speakers practically disappear into your surroundings, instead of overwhelming them. Each speaker houses one 2½" wide-range driver and is magnetically-shielded, allowing you to place them next to monitors and televisions without adversely altering the picture.

The system's powerful bass comes from the hideaway Acoustimass module, which pushes the envelope in bass reproduction by launching sound on a column of air rather than directly from a vibrating cone like conventional speakers. The result is full, natural bass without audible distortion — all from one compact enclosure. Because bass without distortion is difficult to localize, you can hide the Acoustimass module practically anywhere in the room — even under or behind furniture. The Acoustimass 6 module houses two 5¼" woofers and uses Bose Adaptive Energy Summing® speaker design, which reproduces bass for the front and surround channels from a single enclosure and eliminates the need for two bass sources or bulky conventional loudspeakers.
