This expandable cordless phone system lets you take maximum advantage of your cell phone plan minutes: If your cellular phone is Bluetooth® wireless technology compatible, you can make or answer cellular calls using the handset or base unit. Up to five Bluetooth-compliant cell phones, and another five Bluetooth headsets or other devices can be registered to the phone base, and when you're ready to expand, you can add up to seven additional handsets (sold separately) to access your cordless phone system from any room in the house.

Using Your Cell Phone With This System

Up to five cellular phones can be registered to a single Link-to-Cell Expandable Phone System base. There can be only one active Bluetooth connection at a time. Once set up, you'll be able to use the base or handset to answer your cell phone calls, even transferring a call from your cell to the base. You can use the Link-to-Cell's built-in answering system to answer cellular calls when you are not available to answer them, as well. Use your cell and land lines as dual-line phones: You can even set up a conference call with a cellular call and a land line call.

Compatible Cell Phones

If your cellular phone is Bluetooth 1.1 and 1.2 compliant, you can use the handset or base unit to make or answer calls using a cellular line. You'll be able to maximize your cell phone minutes by utilizing free unlimited nights and weekends, extended local calling range, and cellular-to-cellular calling plans with your home phone. Making Calls With the Handset or Base

Calling your friends and family is easy with the Link-to-Cell Expandable Phone System's numerous calling options. Both the handset and base can store up to 50 names and numbers in their independent phone books, which allow you to search by name to dial out. Each phonebook item can be assigned a name, phone number, ringer ID, and light-up ID. (Ringer ID and light-up ID features are available for Caller ID* subscribers). Redial any of the 10 last numbers called or access up to 50 items in the caller list if you have Caller ID. The system even has a built-in talking Caller ID feature, which lets you know who's calling without looking at the display.

Conferencing, Transferring and Intercom Calls

If you have multiple handsets set up on your phone system, a second extension can join the conversation while you are talking with an outside caller to establish a conference call. You can also transfer calls from handset to handset, handset to base and vice versa, and from or to your registered cell phone. You can even transfer the caller to the answering system. You can also use this system to talk to family members inside your home: Intercom calls can be made between the handset and the base unit, and between two handsets.

Increased Clarity

Crisp, clear sound is important in phone calls, and the Link-to-Cell Expandable Phone System addresses this with its handset clarity booster. This feature can improve sound clarity when the handset is used in an area where there may be interference for a more natural-sound voice that's easier to hear and understand. During an outside call, this feature is turned on automatically when necessary. You can also turn this feature on or off manually.

Customized Ring Tones

You can set a personalized incoming ring for each person in your phone book. Simply connect an audio device to the handset using the included audio cable to record up to 30 seconds of songs to be used as the handset ringer tone. You can even assign a ringer indicator color to each person who calls.

Answering System Features

The Link-to-Cell Expandable Phone System has a built-in answering system that will record up to 99 messages for a total of 60 minutes. If you're avoiding in-laws or creditors, you can screen your calls by listening to the message being left through the base unit's speaker. You can even retrieve messages when you're out by calling in from a touchtone phone and entering a security code.

Room/Baby Monitoring and Additional Features

Keep a handset in your baby's room, and it will double as a baby monitor. Set the handset to monitoring mode, and you'll be able to listen in from any other handset or the base to know instantly when your young one awakens. Use the base unit to leave a voice memo for yourself or someone else. This memo can be played back later, either directly with the base unit or remotely. Additional features include hold, mute, and flash.

*Caller ID is a service your phone company provides for a fee.
