Creating a whole-house audio system no longer requires an expensive professional installation with hardwired components and advanced programming. The Sony AIR-SA20PK Wireless iPod Whole-House S-AIR Audio System is an affordable solution that distributes music from your iPod via radio frequency (RF). The plug-and-play style setup only requires you to insert an iPod into the S-AIR iPod Dock/Transmitter which will distribute music out to each of the two S-AIR Powered Wireless Speakers up to 150 feet away! The iPod Dock/Transmitter also features a remote control, AM/FM tuner, an input for an additional music source and an output for direct connection to an existing stereo or TV. It is expandable to accommodate a total of 10 S-AIR Powered Wireless Speakers, sold separately. The Powered Wireless Speakers can control your iPod manually or with the included remote control, which means you can change your music anywhere a speaker is located. The speakers also have a digital LCD display with a clock, alarm, and a sleep timer. There are no complicated programming settings such as IP address, WEP key or Pin code, just plug in your devices and you are ready to enjoy a dual source multi-zoned audio system.

Sony Audio Interactive Radio Frequency (S-AIR)The Sony AIR-SA20PK Wireless iPod Whole-House S-AIR Audio System utilizes proprietary S-AIR technology for multi-zone operation. S-AIR technology is designed for radio transmission of digital audio signals with no compression. This technology transfers digital audio signal with no compression using a 2.4GHz band range of ISM band, similar to wireless LANs and Bluetooth applications.
Sony Compatibility Only select Sony devices that are S-AIR compatible will be able to wirelessly transmit audio to the AIR-SA15R Wireless Speakers. The AIR-SA15R can receive audio from your iPod dock or different sources and inputs of other Sony S-AIR compatible device including AM, FM, DVD, TV/Video Input, Audio Input, and DMPORT. However, the button controls on each speaker will not allow control of any device connected through a Sony component's DMPORT, TV/Video Input or Audio Input

S-AIR Wireless Transceiver Your AIR-SA20PK iPod dock and Wireless Speakers each come with a transceiver that allow for S-AIR communication between each speaker and the iPod dock.
Timers There are two timer functions built in to the AIR-SA15R speakers. The Sleep Timer will let you relax and drift asleep to your favorite music, and automatically turn off after your desired time from 10 - 90 minutes. The Play Timer will let you to wake up to your favorite music coming from the connected S-AIR compatible unit at a preset time you indicate.
