Sony's premium Blu-ray Disc MegaChanger allows you to store, access and enjoy up 400 Blu-ray, DVD and CD discs with a user-friendly on-screen interface. Simply connect it to your home broadband Internet to download movie metadata and you'll be able to easily sort and search by title, genre, cast and more, to quickly find the movie, TV show or album you're looking for. The fully-featured Blu-ray Disc player offers Full HD 1080p/24p video output for Blu-ray Disc technology, HD audio support, and the ability to upscale standard DVDs to near HD quality with an HDMI connection ( HDMI cable sold separately). The MegaChanger supports both internal decoding and bitstream output of enhanced audio codecs, including Dolby ® TrueHD and dts ®-HD Master Audio. These high definition audio formats deliver 'lossless' surround sounds with 7.1 channels of discrete audio that is bit-for-bit identical to the master studio recording, allowing you to enjoy uncompromised sound from the comfort of your home theater. The Sony Blu-ray Disc MegaChanger features Super Bit Mapping, which smoothes out background shadow and color gradients, and it has an HD Reality Enhancer, which sharpens moving edges to create the finest video output available from Sony. If you have a separate disc (i.e. one that has been borrowed from a friend or a rental) you can quickly insert and start watching it right away with the dedicated rental slot. With your MegaChanger connected to the Internet, you can also download software upgrades and use the BD-Live ™ technology allowing you to download and stream bonus content, such as additional scenes, shorts, trailers, movie-based games, and more. Using the built-in USB port, you to connect a portable USB storage device (sold separately) for additional storage capacity that lets you take advantage of specially created content from BD-Live with compatible Blu-ray Disc media. For advanced users, an RS-232 Port allows the MegaChanger to be managed by audio / video control systems for full integration into a custom installed audio / video system. Free up valuable shelf space and relocate all your discs to one convenient, easy-to-access location. This product can only be shipped to the billing address & only within the USA.
