Have you added a flat-screen TV to your home theater, and now you need to give it a good home? Sony developed this television stand with a built-in home theater sound system to be the perfect companion to your large flat panel television (compatible with LCD & plasma displays up to 46" screen size). It features BRAVIA® Theatre Sync™, S-Master® Digital Amplifier and S-Force Pro front surround technology (DSP technology) to envelop you in realistic multi-channel surround sound without rear speakers. In addition, the TV Stand with Built-In Audio System features HDMI pass-through and decodes linear PCM audio so that it works with Blu-ray Disc™ Media and other HD Sources.

Linear Pulse Code Modulation (LPCM) Support: LPCM is a method of encoding information digitally which can have up to 8 channels of uncompressed audio. This wider bandwidth allows for high resolution audio which is closer to the original.
