The Sony 400-Disc DVD Player will play a variety of formats: In addition to DVD and CD, it offers MP3 CD and Super Audio CD playback as well as JPEG CD-R/RW playback, so you'll be able to view photos on your big-screen TV!

The Sony 400-Disc DVD Player up-scales video to high definition (1080i/720p) resolution and transmits high-quality audio through a High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI)™. The product features Dolby Digital® and DTS 5.1 channel outputs and compatibility with DVD-RW/-R/+RW/+R, MP3, JPEG, CD-RW/-R, VCD and SVCD playback. An A/V cable is included. The unit also accepts inputs from HDMI, component and S-video cables; these cables are sold separately.
Select discs by title or number or scroll through them. You can skip ahead by up to 100 discs. For discs you create yourself from your computer, you can create disc labels using the included remote control. Four folders can also be created, so you can separate movies by genre or create different music and movie folders.
In addition to standard DVD/CD player features, such as shuffle, repeat, slow motion, and freeze frame, the Sony 400-Disc DVD Player also features custom parental controls.
