If you have a Wireless Extender-Repeater System (sold separately) installed in your home to improve reception for your 850 MHz cell-based phones but find you still need additional bars for usable service, installing an upgraded outdoor antenna should suffice. Ideal for homes in rural or remote areas that may not be able to obtain a strong PCS signal, the Wireless Extender CEL Outdoor Antenna provides additional coverage by boosting the outside signal strength in the direction the antenna is pointed. This outdoor antenna is designed specifically for use with 850 MHz cell-based phones only; contact your service provider or dial 611 from your cell phone to verify that the 850 MHz band is supported in your area. If you're on a 1900 MHz-based PCS phone, use the Wireless Extender Outdoor Antenna to boost the signal for a Wireless Extender System for PCS Phones instead; NEXTEL and iDEN phones are not supported at this time.

The Wireless Extender CEL Outdoor Antenna provides 9dBi of gain to strengthen the signal. Mount this outdoor cell antenna to a suitable support pipe, as high as possible for the best range. Point the antenna at the desired location and secure it properly. Connect the antenna to your Wireless Extender-Repeater System for CEL Phones with a male TNC connector to secure it to a 52-ohm cable (connector and cable sold separately).
