Digital Video Essentials was entirely filmed and edited in high definition. Several demo scenes are included, like a space shuttle launch that you'll be proud to display to your guests. And even though today's DVD players can't directly play true HDTV signals due to resolutions restrictions, the picture quality is still spectacular.
Covers Everything From Beginners to Advanced
Before introducing you to all the various tests, Digital Video Essentials covers many of the basics of a home theater. You'll learn how a home theater room should be set up, differences between speakers, and how digital broadcasts work, just to name a few topics. For advanced users, numerous topics are covered in great detail, including color temperature, bass management and gray scale calibration.
Includes Color Filters
The DVD comes with 3 color filters to help you adjust the display's color properties. Because most monitors are pre-calibrated from the factory to look good in a showroom, that often means that it's out of alignment in the home environment. But with Digital Video Essentials, you'll see how out of alignment your monitor really is. The DVD will also explain how to use the filters to set the brightness, contrast, color and tint for optimum viewing. By the end of the DVD, your picture and sound will be nearly equal to that of what a professional would be able to achieve.
