The Broadband RF System Design & Installation video training course is part of The Training Dept.'s residential training series. This 2-hour, 45-minute DVD course features industry expert Grayson Evans and longtime CEDIA instructor Frank White.
Part one of the course explains the basics of RF systems and whole-house signal distribution, concentrating on how the components operate, as well as their characteristics and specification, and proper application. This section also explains RF signal distribution requirements. Part two delves into RF system design requirements and how components are used to solve various signal distribution and integration problems in typical residential installations. Complete installation requirements are covered, and installation examples are introduced to illustrate how system designs are put in practice. The final course section demonstrates the prewire and trim-out of a custom home, showing how RF distribution systems are installed and tested. A wide range of equipment is installed, demonstrating the material covered in Parts 1 and 2. The installation emphasizes planning, equipment selection, and installation rather than wiring.
In addition to the course itself, a full exam is included for self-measuring of your grasp of the material included in the course.
