No prior technical knowledge is required for this online class, but students should have a basic understanding of what residential technologies are and the benefits they provide.
Structured Wiring is a 10-part training session designed to teach components and benefits of structured wiring systems. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to design and document structured wiring systems, to understand how to pre-wire a structured wiring system, and to understand key safety issues and practices related to installation. Special in-depth articles provide deeper background and technical information on critical topics, and project management tips coach installers on good management practices. The course includes informative text, detailed color diagrams, and instructional videos. A certificate is awarded upon successful completion of the online course.
