Battery Consumption:
When the iPhone or iPod and the super charger are connected to an electrical source, the iPhone or iPod power consumption comes from the electrical source. If the electrical source is cut off, then the iPhone or iPod consumption comes from the battery case, until it's power is at less than 5%, then the iPhone or iPod will use its own battery.
Sync:
When using this backup battery with your iPhone or iPod, you can synchronize your iPhone or iPod with iTunes without removing the backup battery.
