Essential Info
We all love our cars. Until something starts going wrong, which can end up being extremely frustrating, since it never makes the same noise once it's in your mechanic's capable hands! But now your car's on-board diagnostic (OBD) data can be visible right on your computer, through the CarChipEX 300-Hour Diagnostic Tool. The CarChipEX plugs instantly into the OBD II connector in your car, where it continuously logs performance under the hood and behind the wheel. Later, download the data to your PC, and you'll have an insider's peek at how your car is being driven, what's going on inside the engine, and more.

More Info
|
The CarChipEX logs 300 hours of trip details, including time and date, distance, speed, idle time, hard accelerations and decelerations, and engine diagnostic trouble codes, plus the ability to monitor any 4 out of 23 user-selectable engine parameters, including RPM, coolant temperature, timing advance, fuel system status, oxygen sensor voltage, and fuel pressure. You can view all of this graphically on your computer screen. If you're ever unfortunate enough to be involved in an accident, the CarChipEX will automatically generate an accident log showing the last critical 20 seconds of speed, which may save you thousands in at-fault damages. The CarChipEX can help do-it-yourself mechanics keep their cars running at peak performance. Professional mechanics can loan the CarChipEX to customers to store engine sensor data collected under real-life conditions for more accurate diagnoses.
There are a few vehicles in which CarChip does not function properly, and there are others in which CarChip may interfere with the normal operation of the vehicle. Please review the list of known CarChip Vehicle Conflicts and Exclusions before purchasing or using CarChip.
