The Mineral Magnet II from Trillium Worldwide uses a powerful magnetic field to modify the polarization of mineral salts and reduce calcium deposits and build-up in fresh water pipes. Scale build-up occurs as a result of hard water that is piped into the majority of our homes and as a result over time the build-up costs us money due to inefficient water flow. Hot water takes longer to heat due to inefficient flow, water flow is weak or varies and water bills are higher due to running water longer. The pockets of build-up can even cause clogs in pipes leading to them needing to be replaced or having to hire someone to come fix them. Through the use of the Mineral Magnet's powerful magnetic field mineral salts in water will continue to flow rather than settle and harden on water pipes. This means scale build-ups will be reduced which can lead to tastier tap water, healthier skin and cleaner dishes to name a few. Installation is a breeze as well and can be done in a matter of minutes upon determining the pipe it will be installed on. The Mineral Magnet II should be installed on an incoming fresh water pipe that is 1.5" in diameter or smaller. The scale build-up in the water pipe prior to installation will determine how long it will take to notice results as pipes with heavy build-up may take time to break down the existing deposits.

Hands-On Research
I installed the Mineral Magnet II in my apartment because ice cubes made from tap water would leave very noticeable floating calcium deposits after melting and dried deposit on dishes after being washed. It took about 30-45 days but I have in fact noticed that the calcium deposits have greatly subsided. I don't see them anymore in ice cubes after they melt but there are still some after doing dishes though it is better than it used to be. The Mineral Magnet II was very easy to install! It took all of 2-3 minutes to do so as the hardest part for me was determining where to put it. Some of the more expensive water conditioner's are probably more effective or faster working but for the price and application of using it in a smaller apartment I felt it did exactly what I had hoped it would. If anything, for my situation a more expensive water conditioner probably would have been overkill for the application.
