A cup is a cup is a cup - but is it? Measuring cups can yield different results depending on the density of the ingredient and how the cook packs it. The Escali Pana scale solves this problem with volume measurements in cups and tablespoons, utilizing selectable pre-programmed ingredient densities to providing accurate readings. It can handle weight capacities up to 6.6 pounds (3000 grams) and displays the weight on a large LCD screen in 0.1 ounce (or 1 gram) increments; it even measures in increments of 1/8 cup, ½ tablespoon, 0.1 oz or 1 gram. When using a container, the built-in Tare button automatically zero's out the weight of the container to obtain the weight of it's contents. The automatic shut-off feature will ensure a long life for your battery by automatically turning off when it is not used for a set amount of time. As an added bonus, you have the choice between using a removable stainless steel or a natural wood platform. This Escali Aqua scale is an ideal multi-functional device for the person looking to make accurate measurements of ingredients for the ultimate in food preparation. It is powered by a 9-Volt battery, included.
