It allows for extremely accurate weight measurements of liquids, from water to various types of alcohol, oils, syrups, and dairy products. It can handle weight capacities up to 11 pounds (5000 grams) and displays the weight on a large LCD screen in 0.1 ounce (or 1 gram) increments; it even displays ounces in fractions (up to 1/16 ounce) if your prefer. Besides weighing in ounces or grams, you can easily measure your recipe ingredients in fluid ounces and milliliters. By adjusting the density settings (via the pre-loaded specifications) for your specific liquid, it will offer extremely consistent weight measurements. A Tare button has been added to zero out weights at the press of a finger and a convenient timer makes cooking even easier. Additionally, you have the choice between using a removable stainless steel or a natural wood platform. This Escali Aqua scale is an ideal multi-functional device for the person looking to make accurate measurements of liquid ingredients for the ultimate in food and drink preparation. It is powered by a 9-Volt battery, included.
