How it WorksThe Roomba Scheduler robotic floor vac is easy to use, but under the hood it's a complex robot featuring a high-efficiency particle vacuum and cleaning brushes that provide exceptional surface cleaning. It may be circular, but the Roomba Scheduler still cleans edges and corners using its spinning side brush, which rotates outside the unit's housing diameter to gather debris from tough-to-reach spots, cleaning right up to the wall. The Roomba Scheduler can also detect concentrated dirt and will focus its cleaning with increased intensity on these areas. You can even spot clean an area of three feet in diameter.
Cleaning OptionsProgram up to seven cleaning times to clean automatically as often as you like. You can also press a button to start the Roomba manually. On a full battery charge, the Roomba Scheduler will run a full 120 minutes, and the included charger will power the battery back up in less than three hours. A spare APS (Advanced Power Supply) battery is also included for quick charging.
Confining Virtual Walls IncludedTwo Virtual Walls are included with the Roomba Scheduler. Confine your Roomba to a designated area with these units, which block doorways with an invisible beam that the Roomba reads as a wall. Use the included remote to schedule the virtual walls, and they will turn on only when the Roomba is running, thus maximizing the two D batteries (sold separately) that power them.
Smart Vacuum FeaturesWhen Roomba senses that it's trapped and can't move, it employs pre-programmed escape drills to free itself, and Artificial Intelligence makes Roomba smart enough to know not to fall down the stairs. Best of all, the Roomba Scheduler has the built-in intelligence to return to its own charging Home Base when it gets tired to recharge its battery. It will even go back to the included Home Base when it is finished cleaning a room.
Included Remote ControlA remote control is included to power the Roomba Scheduler up from its home base and to tell it where to start a cleaning cycle. The remote also allows you to direct the Roomba to specific areas. The remote requires two AA batteries, sold separately.
Functions on Most SurfacesThe Roomba Scheduler cleans hardwood, tile, linoleum, and low-to-medium pile carpet (Note: Roomba is not recommended for shag carpet or rugs with tassels.), automatically adjusting its cleaning head for a smooth transition between floor surfaces. Air filters prevent dust and dirt from entering your Roomba's vacuum system or your air. It is recommended that you replace your air filter every one to two months; Replacement Filters are sold separately.
