The Roomba® Red will clean surfaces from mid-pile carpet to hardwood floors, automatically adjusting its cleaning head to gather dirt the most effectively. Just push "Clean," and the Roomba® will automatically calculate how long it will take to clean your entire room. Sophisticated sensing software monitors the Roomba Red's activity and adjusts its behavior over 67 times a second. Supersensitive bumpers help the Roomba Red feel its way around the room. There's no programming required. Simply charge the included battery, and the Roomba Red is ready to go.

The Roomba® Red robotic floor vac is easy to use, but under the hood it's a complex robot featuring a high-efficiency particle vacuum and cleaning brushes that provide exceptional surface cleaning. It may be circular, but the Roomba® Red still cleans edges and corners using its spinning side brush, which rotates outside the unit's housing diameter to gather debris from tough-to-reach spots. The Roomba® Red can detect concentrated dirt and will focus its cleaning with increased intensity on these areas. In addition, you can spot clean an area of three feet in diameter.
Ideal for cleaning pet hair, the Roomba® Red is pet friendly and won't bother most dogs, cats or other domesticated animals. The interior bagless bin now holds three times the dirt of other robotic floorvacs.
If you want to control your Roomba manually, you can use the Roomba Remote (sold separately) to guide your robotic vacuum to a spot and then direct it to clean or spot clean. You can even schedule your Roomba to clean at any convenient time - even if you're not at home - by upgrading with the Roomba Scheduler Accessory Pack.
While areas under beds or kitchen kickboards usually go un-vacuumed, the Roomba® Red makes cleaning these hard-to-reach spots a breeze. The unit has an automatic stair avoidance system, so you'll be able to leave the Roomba® Red by itself without worry. The included Virtual Wall blocks a doorway with an invisible beam of light that tells the Roomba® Red where it can't go, ideal for cleaning one room at a time. The Virtual Wall runs on two D batteries. Additional virtual walls sold separately.
The Roomba® Red runs on an included rechargeable battery. A full battery charge takes seven hours. Replacement batteries sold separately. The Roomba® Red will run for two hours on a full charge; a Rapid Charger is sold separately and will charge the Roomba® Red in 2 1/2 hours. You can also place the Roomba Red within four feet of the Roomba Discovery Self-Docking Base (sold separately) and press "Clean" and "Spot" at the same time. It will return to the Self-Docking Base and begin to charge. Additional filters are also sold separately. Three replacement filters are included in the Replenishment Kit (sold separately), which also includes multiple brushes to replace the originals included on your Roomba.
