Installing a gas log set for your fireplace? Why not add a safety pilot system to control it? Made specifically for gas fireplaces with pilots that remain lit, the Safety Pilot Kit includes a remote control to manage the flame height adjustment; just choose low or high. Manual control is also possible. The gas log set is sold separately.

The remote receiver connects to the system for easy flame control up to 20 feet away, so you'll never need to leave that comfy couch in order adjust the temperature. Be sure to contact your gas company for local standards.
If your gas log fireplace has an electronic spark ignition, use the Spark to Pilot Valve Kit instead. Smarthome has a wide variety of fireplace control products, including wired and wireless devices, simple on/off remote control, and safety kits.
